Tap your Talent in 2008
Here’s a quote I’m taking into the new year from Kahlil
Gibran…
“To understand the heart and mind of a person,
look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he
aspires to.”
Yes, it’s a good idea to spend time reflecting
on 2007 — what you did and didn’t do, etc.
It’s very helpful to take time to be grateful for all that happened
in 2007.
But regardless of what happened…. it’s over!
Time to move forward. Our level of excitement in life is
determined by what we see ahead of us, not what we see
behind us.
What do you aspire to in 2008? My suggestion:
set goals (what will you do by when?), not resolutions.
I’m jazzed about the new year and have some big goals for
making a big difference in the worlds of baseball and
softball by increasing the “mobility” of players, coaches
and parents.
By “mobility” I mean ability to move toward your goals. I’ll talk more about that soon, but for now just know that greater mobility means you’re faster, more
agile, more adept to change, less affected by adversity, more laser focused, etc.
Like a Transformer.
