USSSA Baseball Success Secrets: How to Play Mentally Tough
To succeed in USSSA Baseball you’ve got to be mentally tough.
I define mental toughness as the ability to consistently play at or near your best regardless of circumstances. That means no matter what situation you are in, regardless of what has happened in the past, or what might happen in the future, you are able to play nearly as well as you are capable of playing.
Pretty much anyone can play great when they feel great, but players who succeed at the higher levels are able to create good or even great performances when they don’t feel 100%.
They might be tired or frustrated, or they might have doubts about their ability to succeed (doubt happens to the best of them, even at the Major League level), but somehow they are able to focus the energy they do have in a way that produces success.

Baseball Coaching Tip: How to Be Unbeatable
My primary mentor the past 3 years just came out with a great book.
“The Unbeatable Man” by Matt Furey.
This guy is a rare high-end coach I respect more each time I’m with him for a seminar or coaching session.
(I don’t know about you but usually after I get to know a “star” their star diminishes with time in my
eyes.)
